First things first
The Ultimate Guide to Eclectus Parrots is a multi-touch eBook. It has been specifically designed for the iPad and iPad mini. To view this book to it's full potential, ensure you are using an iPad or iPad mini and running iOS 5.1 or later. This book is viewable using Apple's iBook app version 3.0 or later. Please note: If you have recently updated your iOS to version 7, you will need to update your iBooks app.
Common technical support solutions
If you encounter further issues with our eBook and you have ensured your iOS and iBooks app is up to date, the following techniques will resolve most issues.
Restart
If when viewing our eBook you encounter a crash or freeze:
- Restart your device by holding down the Home button and the "Sleep/Wake" button at the same time
- Keep holding down these buttons until the screen turns black
- Continue holding them down until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen
- At this point you can release the buttons and your device will restart
In some cases you may need to perform this restart three times.
Re-download the book
If the book did not finish downloading then you may experience technical issues. This problem can be solved by re-downloading the book. You won't be charged again for the book.
- Simply open your iBooks Library and select 'Edit' (in the upper right corner)
- Tap the book titled: "The Ultimate Guide to Eclectus Parrots"
- Press 'Delete' (at the top left of the screen)
- Once the book is removed, you can return to the iBookstore and re-download the book by clicking on the download 'cloud' icon next to our book cover
- Ensure that you are logged in using the same iTunes account when you first purchased the book. This guarantees you will be not charged again
ePub versus multi-touch (iPad) version
To make our book available to as many platforms as possible, we recently released it in the ePub format. This format however does not support some of the features available on the multi-touch iPad version such as video. The ePub version of our book does not contain video or as many photos and illustrations as the iPad version - this limitation is beyond our control. All the written content of the original multi-touch version is included in the ePub so informationally the two versions are the same. To view the book in the best way possible we recommend the multi-touch version, but if you do not have an iPad/iPad Mini or Mac computer then the ePub version is the way to go.

Below are answers to common questions we receive about the book.
Does your book only run on iPad and iPad Mini?
No. We have recently made our book available as an ePub which is viewable on Android, Windows and Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch. This version however does not include video and does not contain as many photos and illustrations. The best way to view our book is on an iPad/iPad Mini or Mac running OS X version 10.9, but if this is not an option then the ePub version will work with any device that supports the ePub format.
Can I view your eBook on an iPhone or iPod Touch?
Yes, but only as an ePub. The version that we initially created is a multi-touch eBook which is only supported on Apple's iPad, iPad Mini and Mac computers running OS X version 10.9.
Can I view your book on my Android or Windows device?
Yes. We have recently made our book available as an ePub which can be purchased here. There is a difference between the ePub version and the multi-touch version as explained above.
Can I view the book on my Windows computer?
Absolutely. There are many ePub readers available for the Windows platform. The multi-touch version of our book however is currently only viewable on an iPad, iPad Mini or Mac computer running OS X version 10.9.
Is your book available in my country?
Currently, Apple's iBookstore is available in 51 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela.
As new countries become available for distribution, our book will immediately become available in those countries.
Is your book translated into my language?
Our book is currently available in English, however we are working to offer additional translations. We will make these available as soon as the translations are complete.
